Foodtruck Mania!

Ok, I know it’s been a long time since I've written a post (you know the day to day hustle and bustle)  but I’m back now! And for my first blog I want to talk about foodtrucks because they are happening!

First off, who has tried the Miss Shirley’s Cafe truck???? Yes, that's right, the truck.  It was launched sometime this summer, and they serve some of the same dishes (like their famous sweet potato fries) but on a smaller scale. You can view their day to day schedule by liking them on facebook. I haven’t tried it yet, but I bet the food will be just a great as the original!

Who loves a m  9eeting where you’re fed…everybody, right? How about a meeting of foodtrucks? That’s even better! On August 5,2011  many of the Baltimore food trucks are meeting in one place(901 S. Wolf St, Fells Point) . I am so ooober excited about this, especially since I missed the first meeting.  One of the trucks I’m most looking forward to is the Kooper's Chowhound Burger Wagon, they make gourmet burgers and I looove burgers to the tenth degree! I've been trying to get to this truck all summer long and somehow we have just been missing one another. Plus, my mother- in-law and niece are in town (all the way from Ghana!) and this will be a great outing.
I’m encouraging everyone in Baltimore (and surrounding area) to get out there and get something to eat because there will be many types of food, people and fun!

  2. Hey CeeJay, thanks for commenting! Whenever you can, you should definitely try to make it to one of the food trucks.

And If you are looking to try a restaurant you can try Crush;its located right there on Belvedere and York Rd.( not too far from Morgan State). The food is great and the decor is nice.

You could also try El Salto, a Mexican place on 8816 Waltham Woods Rd. Parkville,MD. The decor is not splendid, but the food is excellent and a good price.

  3. Thanks! I'll try Crush then. The mexican one - Not really sure, cos I'm not a 'pepper' guy. The food might rearrange my insides, so...
