Tortilleria Sinaloa- Location: Upper Fells Point

I received a beautiful groupon for Tortilleria Sinaloa but before that I had never heard about the place. I looked it up online and found that they (supposedly) served great tacos (I would be the judge of that!) Im always up for a delicious taco, so I was excited (when am I not excited about food????)
Trying to locate it, we drove past it once or twice before finding it. It didn't help that a lot of the surrounding streets were one-way.

I don't know if you will ever see a smaller restaurant! I mean it's tiny... but cute. There is small seating around two walls (bar and stool-style) and a nice amount of framed art and decor on the walls. The kitchen is right behind the ordering counter and you can see the food made in front of you.

There was a bit of a line to order, but it was not an incredibly long wait. We ordered chicken, steak and pork tacos on corn tortillas. They offer beef tongue, but I'm not that adventurous! The price for tacos ranged from 2.75-3.25 each depending on the meat you order. The prices, to me, are a little expensive but I had a groupon so I didn't feel the pull as much.  They offer the option of buying pounds of meat, if you want to take some of it home with you to eat later! While waiting on our order we had a nice conversation with a guy behind the counter; he joked around with us and asked us questions. We found out he was the owner! I liked that he interacted so friendly with his customers. I think it’s a great feature for a restaurant to have.

I loved the chicken and steak tacos. Everything was so fresh, even the toppings of tomato, onion, and salsas! It all meshed so well and tasted...well...authentic, from what I can tell. The pork, while still delicious, was a little salty for my liking, but pork usually is (Hey, it was worth a try!) Har loved the pork, but he is usually up for saltier meat more than I am. On our way out, we grabbed a bag of their tortilla chips to go. I can say that we devoured the whole bag on the way to our friends house…I’m not ashamed!

I definitely plan to visit Tortilleria Sinaloa again, and I encourage you to go too!!!
